The rewards include scholarships covering the West African
Examination Council (WAEC) fees for 2025, as well as school materials worth
₦40,000 for students not in terminal classes. In total, ₦500,000 will be
disbursed as scholarship support, underlining MSSN's commitment to promoting
academic excellence and empowering young Muslims in Ogun State.
The week-long programme featured key competitions, such as
the Late Chief Idowu Sofola Memorial Quiz Competition, an REMO ICT Quiz
Competition, and a Qur'an Recitation Contest, which were designed to
encourage intellectual and spiritual growth among students.

Speaking about the initiative at the Awards Presentation Day,
the Amir, Mallam Abdulfatai Muritala emphasized the society's dedication to
nurturing young talents and building a future generation of leaders. He highlighted
the importance of providing opportunities for academic and moral development,
ensuring that no child is left behind.
This initiative is part of MSSN’s broader effort to champion
education and instill strong values in Muslim students, fostering a brighter, more impactful future for the community.
MSSN Remo Area Council’s commitment to education and its
role in shaping the future of Muslim students is a commendable example of how
community-driven support can make a significant difference.
In addition to the awards, Amir, MSSN, Ogun Area Unit, Ustadh Abdulfatai Adigun through his Assistant General Secretary used the occasion to unveil the students as Ambassadors of MEEM (Mission to Eradicate Examination Malpractices) in Remo, Ogun State. The students were charged with promoting the slogan, “No to Cheating, Yes to Integrity,” in their respective schools.
MEEM Project was conceived by MSSN B Zone and was aimed to instill a culture of honesty and hard work among students, combating the growing menace of examination malpractice. The students were urged to uphold these values and represent the body with dignity and pride in their schools and communities.
The General Secretary, Mallam Zakaryau AbdulQuadri used the medium to extend heartfelt appreciation to the financial donors whose contributions made this initiative a reality. Special thanks were given to Barrister Sina Sofola (SAN), Mr. Keleni, Alhajah Ambibola, and other notable benefactors for their unwavering support. Their generosity has significantly impacted the lives of these young students and will leave a lasting legacy in the community.

The Guest Lecturer at the event, Ustadh Abdulatai Adigun was absent, but was represented by his Assistant General Secretary, Mr. Saheed Akinyemi, Amir MSSN: Ogun Area Unit emphasized that MSSN efforts serve as an inspiration for other organizations and communities, proving targeted support and value-driven programmes can drive transformative change for the betterment of our dear Ogun State and at large Nigeria as a nation.
